Salmon Sessions 2026

Salmon Sessions returns in 2026 with a standout lineup that celebrates the depth of musical talent rooted right here in Surrey, White Rock, and Vancouver. Blending seasoned blues-rock performers with a new generation of emerging artists, this year’s
festival promises an authentic, feel-good day of live music and community connection at the Semiahmoo Fish and Game Club in Surrey.

Leading the bill is the Wailin’ Walker Band, fronted by Al “Wailin’” Walker—a blues mainstay with a career spanning more than five decades. Known for his signature guitar style and deep roots in rhythm and blues, Walker brings a performance shaped by
experience, passion, and a lifelong connection to the genre.

Sharing the stage is a carefully curated lineup of artists, many with strong ties to the local
music scene:

Wailin’ Walker Band – A blues-rock veteran delivering timeless rhythm and blues with decades of experience behind every note.

James Shepherd Band – A White Rock-based guitarist known for blending rock and blues with expressive playing and a strong local following.

Three Nines Fine – A Vancouver five-piece rock band on the rise, bringing energy and momentum from their recent Battle of the Bands win in White Rock.

Generous Thieves – A reggae fusion group with international roots, having built a fanbase in Japan before returning to share their sound with local audiences.

Westwood Theory – A young BC band formed through school jam sessions, quickly gaining attention for their original sound and natural chemistry.

Rowan (formerly Sophia Bouvier) – A White Rock multi-instrumentalist who began busking at age eight and now performs original music that blends vintage and contemporary influences.

Salmon Sessions continues to be more than a music festival—it’s a celebration of music, community, and conservation. Festival proceeds support the Little Campbell Hatchery, a valued community asset that is 100% volunteer-run by the Semiahmoo Fish and Game Club, helping sustain salmon populations and protect the region’s natural ecosystems.

The event is proudly supported by the City of Surrey, along with valued sponsors including
Bethany Heppner & Associates (Cooperators)
Hilltop Plumbing and Heating
Discover Surrey
Maple Leaf Disposal
and other local businesses and organizations committed to supporting arts, culture, and community initiatives in the region.

“Salmon Sessions is about celebrating the incredible talent in our own backyard while supporting something bigger,” say organizers. “It’s a day where music, community, and conservation come together in a meaningful way.”
Attendees can also explore an artisan market, take part in hatchery tours, and enjoy a beverage garden featuring Three Dogs Brewing and Fraser Valley Cider Company, showcasing local craft producers.
Tickets are available now, including General and VIP options, free entry for age 12 and under, with proceeds supporting the 100% volunteer run Little Campbell Hatchery.
